On March 30th, I a will be hosting a "Welcome to Texas, Webheads" Virtual Feast at the Houston Street Bistro in San Antonio, Texas. The feast will begin at 6:00 PM (1200 GMT - I think I am writing this right, we are at GMT-6 here in Texas) and last as long as folks want to stay. I have arranged for three distinct Wifi connections to the internet and there are three guests who have offered to bring laptops and webcams to participate in this Webhead event. At last count, Buth, Vance, Christine, Jane, Elizabeth (and hubby?), Maria (and hubby?), Anna, and myself will be present. I am also hoping that Jim Duber and Rae Roberts, can stop by (they will be in San Antonio, but had prior commitments - I will at least try to get photo and audio blog from them). That is 10 wehbeads at one face to face meeting - am I breaking a record here?

Well the day of the Webhead Fiesta in San Antonio is here. I am about to dress and drive two hours into the heart of downtown San Antonio and the fringes of technology land. i will probably have less trouble finding downtown than exploring technology land. The account time has been purchased for our three laptops to connect to the internet via WiFi from Houston Street Bistro Restaurant, and I have confirmed our reservations with Radniq, the Romanian manager. I have made one last perusal of my webmail via my brothers PC and found that, sure enough, there have already been some problems with WiFi in the convention center. I hope all of those can be ironed out and that we don;t have the same issues tonight.
If you plan to join us virtually tonight, check the Webhead office at LearningTimes or TappedIn (Bea will be there to assist you) or look for elderbob@prodigy.net or Vance on Yahoo IM. We will try to be on all three. If Bob Zwick makes it to the meeting, he may set up a room in TalkingCommunities so you may want to continue to monitor this blog or we will make periodic announcements about it's URL while we are online tonight.

So I am on my way San Antonio. I have waited for a long time for today. But first, there is part of the journey that I need to tell a bit about.
