The wonderful Texas spring wildflower bloom is already a Fiesta in it's own riot or right. Texas is very well known for the way Mother Nature uses the Texas landscape as a canvas in creating wonderful works of natural art. Although, I am a few days yet from the peak of the spring bloom, as you can see, the paintbrush has already made a few strokes.
The blue flowers in the pictures are the BlueBonnets for which Texas is famous. The naturally occuring Lupines litter the landscape from North to South and East to West completely blanketing Texas in a wonderful blue in April. The red flowers are locally called "Indian Paintbrushes". The mix of the two is awe inspiring. This scene was captured just outside of Bastrop, Texas. The photo was taken by cell phone, and the resolution is not great, but it has a kind of "painted" quality about it.
