Morning, came early on the 31st. My Mom was ready to get back home to her friends and she had already agreed to make our way back up through one of the prettiest parts of Texas. It would make our journey a bit more pleasant and give me a bit of time to let all of yesterday's joyous event soak in. So after a breif farewell to my brother and his wife, we were down the Texas wildflower trails and back toward home. It was a wonderful trip and one that I would not soon forget.
The area North of Victoria was ablaze with wild flowers, and by the time we got to familiar parts of the hill country west of Austin, the blue had lost it's intensity and I think were just ready to get home. Mom, suggested that we take the Willow City Loop just outside of Fredericksburg and I agreed. In fact, we cut off the paved highway just outside of Gruene, Texas and rode on dirt rodes all the way to Willow City. "The Loop", as expected was beautiful this time of year and I think it sort of visually stuck in our minds until I delivered my dear Mother, safe and sound back to her home in Clifton.
It was late, but I was determined to sleep in my own bed this night, so i called my wife and told her I was headed home. I arrived back in Grand Prairie just before midnight.
I was still thinking about Houston Street and I was grinnin' from ear to ear.

PS. The following day my wife and I packed up my pickup and headed to Northeast Texas and Caddo Lake and on into Louisanna. If you want to read about that part of my adventure you can follow at the L-derBobEd Blog.
